How Maccy works

01

Type what you ate

2 fried eggs, 2 canadian bacon and half an avocado

Be as vague or detailed as you want. Maccy fills in the blanks, looks up USDA nutrition data, and logs it.

02

Edit with words

skip the canadian bacon

Maccy makes reasonable assumptions about portion size and ingredients. If something is off, just type what should change.

Y
I've been short on protein this week. Any easy ideas that fit what I usually eat?
Looking at your logs, you average about 95g protein — your goal is 140g. You eat a lot of rice bowls. Adding a can of tuna or 200g of chicken thigh to those would close most of the gap without changing your routine.

Questions & answers

Maccy is a simple nutrition tracking app available for web, and coming soon to iOS and Android. Type what you ate in whatever terms work for you, and Maccy logs the calories and macros using USDA nutrition data.

Apps like MyFitnessPal, MacroFactor, and Cronometer all work the same way: you search a database, take a photo, or scan a barcode for every food you log. Maccy lets you type what you ate in plain language and handles the rest. Same goal, fraction of the time.

No. By design, Maccy has no push notifications, streaks or gamification of any kind. Maccy is your tool, and if it no longer serves your goals, it won't beg you to come back.

Portion sizes and food databases are estimates no matter how you log. Maccy is about as accurate as any tracker, without making you do the work. Maccy uses USDA nutrition data when it can match your food, and does its best estimate when it can't.

Yes. We don't sell or share your data. We have zero data retention (ZDR) and no-train policies in place with the AI provider we use so nothing you enter is ever stored or trained on by AI companies. You can export or delete your data at any time.

No. To keep things simple there is one monthly price.
